Preliminary round (Video on YouTube)
1. Two movements from one of the following works:
a) J. S. Bach: Partita in A minor
b) C. P. E. Bach: Solo Sonata in A minor
(no repeats)
2. J. Andersen: 24 Studies, Op. 15, No. 24
Each piece must be recorded in one take, using a single camera showing the performer’s whole body. Both recordings should be uploaded as one unlisted video on YouTube.
First round
1. J.S. Bach: 2 movements from the Cello Suites BWV 1007 or 1008 (edited by Paul Meisen, Zen-on Publishing, or transcribed by Gergely Ittzes, in Never Enough of Bach, Vol. 2, Akkord Music Publishing, A-1120)
2. One of the following solo works:
a) S.Karg-Elert, Sonata Appassionata in F-sharp minor
b) E.Bozza, Image
c) J.Ibert, Pièce
d) P. Hindemith, Acht Stücke
e) P.-M- Dubois, Incantation et Danse
f) D.Lipatti, Introduction et Allegro
Second round
1. One of the following works by W. A. Mozart:*
a) Andante in C major, KV 315 (KV 299b)
b) Rondo in D major, KV Anh. 184
2. One of the following Romantic sonatas:
a) C. Reinecke: Sonata “Undine”, Op. 167
b) G. Pierné: Sonata, Op. 36
c) M. Meyer-Olbersleben: Fantasie-Sonate in A major, Op. 17
d) E. Y. Bowen: Sonata, Op. 120
e) S. Karg-Elert: Sonata in B-flat major, Op. 121
3. One solo work of free choice, composed after 1950, with a duration of 5–10 minutes.
Semifinal
1. One of the following sonatas by J. S. Bach:
a) Sonata in E minor, BWV 1034
b) Sonata in E major, BWV 1035
2. A virtuoso Romantic piece with piano accompaniment by
Andersen, Böhm, Borne, Briccialdi, Demersseman, Doppler, Taffanel, Tsibin, or any other flutist-composer of the era.*
3. One of the following 20th-century sonatas:
a) S. Prokofiev: Sonata in D major, Op. 94
b) L. Lajtha: Sonata en concert, Op. 64
c) P.-M. Dubois: Sonata
d) J. Feld: Sonata
4. A new piece commissioned for the competition
(Available after July 2026)
FINAL
1. One of the following trios by Ludwig von Beethoven:
a.) Serenade D-Dur, op.25
b.) Serenade D-Dur, op.8
2. One of the two concertos
a) J. J. Quantz: Concerto in G major, QV 5:174

b) F. Devienne: Concerto in E minor, No.7
Memorization Requirement
Pieces marked with an asterisk (*) must be performed from memory, i.e.
• Second Round 1 (Mozart),
• Semifinal 2 (Romantic salon piece), and
• Both concertos in the Final Round.
